The Stupak-Pitts Amendment is a despicable example of women's health being singled out as less important than other aspects of health care. Mr. Stupak, nearly 70,000 women a year die from illegal, botched abortions because they are not fortunate enough to live in countries that value them as people who have every right to maintain agency over their bodies, their health, and their futures. You do wrong by these women, and wrong by all women in the U.S., and you should be ashamed of yourself.
